The Milky Way in France

This is a picture i took from a mountain top (Col d’Izoard) in France. The Milky Way is visible, and Jupiter too
One of the darkest places in Europe. Unedited as-is picture.

Camera: EOS 40D with 22mm objective.

Solar eclipse.

Lucky shot: just before CCD bakeout. Picture taken on 29 march 2009. The solar eclipse in Side. EOS 300D Camera + Skywatcher ED80.
Picture is not edited.

Lagoon Nebula

Andromeda Galaxy (Messier 31)
Picture taken in France with a 66SD William Optics Zenitstar and EOS 40D. One shot approx 4 minutes @ 800 ISO.

Picture taken in France with a 66SD William Optics Zenitstar and EOS 40D.  Three shots approx 4 minutes @ 800 ISO.
Pleiades (Messier 45)

This is one of my recent pictures. Taken with my new EOS 40D through a Televue 85 (wish it was mine :) ) and Televue flattener. Resulting in +/- F4. It is made out of only 3 images of 1 minute exposure at ISO 1200! The noise levels in the 40D are so much lower than its predecessors!
M72 Dumbbell Nebula

This picture shows what's the ED80 Capable of. Unfortunately there is a lot of noise from the 300D Camera. I still like it.
M42 Orion Nebula
The most beautful object in Autumn and Winter. M42. Visually a joy, but also
This picture is taken with my 40D through a TV 85 APO and took 1 exposure at 800 ISO.

M81 & M82

This picture is made with my ED80 Refractor. 1 1/2 minutes at 800 Iso.
Flame and Horsehead Nebula

Even in a (severe) light polluted area nice pictures can be made. This one is shot (only 2 minutes) with my 40D @ Televue 85.
M51 (Whirlpool Galaxy)

Quite a noisy image, but it has a lot of detail. It is not my favorite picture. But the classic shape of M51 can be seen clearly. Picture taken with an EOS 300D. 1 1/2 minute (!)  through an 14" SCT.

Solar eclipse

These are my favorite pictures: I made it during the totality in Side, Turkey. Click for full size! The first picture you see  was a lucky shot. I fired the shutter on the right moment. Taking pictures had no priority for me. I nearly burnt my CCD. But i was so surprised! Equipment: EOS 300D, Skywatcher ED 80 on a Vixen Porta Mount.
The Moon

This is a very 'young' moon. The stripes you see on the left are birds passing by.

A hazy, eclipsed moon (2008). The dot on the right side of the moon is Saturn.
And the 'regular'  moon:

All pictures made with an Eos 300D or 40D and the ED80 Refractor.
Mars, Saturn and Jupiter

Pictures made with a toucam pro + ultima barlow + C11 approx. 1000 frames, stacked with registax 4.  I found it terrible difficult to webcam with a large scope like the C11! The influence of (tube) seeing is much higher. All images captured with K3CCD and stacked with Registax.
Comet 73P

Comet 73P was a nice one to follow. I made some pictures in sequence with my C8 and created an animated GIf. It shows the fast movement of the comet through the background of the stars.
